Holy Thursday Mass of the Lord's Supper

All are welcome to join us for the Holy Thursday Mass of the Lord's Supper on April 2nd at 6pm!

The Mass of the Lord's Supper marks the end of Lent and the beginning of the Paschal Triduum, which continues through Good Friday and the Easter Vigil.

-Institution of the Eucharist: The Mass focuses on Jesus offering his body and blood under the forms of bread and wine.

-The Washing of Feet: The priest washes the feet of parishioners, symbolizing Christ's act of service and love.

-Institution of the Priesthood: The Mass commemorates Jesus establishing the ministerial priesthood.

-Procession and Adoration: Following Communion, the Blessed Sacrament is processed to a temporary "altar of repose" for silent adoration.

-Stripping of the Altar: After the Mass, the altar is stripped, and, vessels are removed, symbolizing the abandonment of Jesus and the stripping of his garments.
