The St. Vincent de Paul ministry is a dedicated group of volunteers who are committed to serving those in need in the local community. Inspired by the teachings of Christ and the example of St. Vincent de Paul, the ministry strives to bring love, compassion, and hope to those who are struggling.

The ministry provides a wide range of services, including emergency financial assistance, food assistance, and referrals for other social services. Volunteers work closely with local agencies and organizations to ensure that those in need receive the support they require.

In addition to the direct services provided, the St. Vincent de Paul ministry also offers a variety of opportunities for volunteers to get involved and make a difference. Whether it's through serving at the food pantry, providing transportation for those in need, or participating in the annual Thanksgiving dinner, there are many ways to support the ministry and serve the community.

The ministry believes that every person is deserving of love, respect, and dignity. They are committed to serving all members of the community, regardless of their background or circumstances. Anyone who is looking for a way to make a meaningful impact in the world and live out their faith in action is welcome to join the St. Vincent de Paul ministry.

Perpetual Adoration is a Eucharistic devotion whereby we unite in taking hours of adoration before the Most Blessed Sacrament both during the day and throughout the night, seven days a week. This is a great way to spend some time one on one with the Lord, encountering the Lord of all the universe who humbles himself and appears to us in our midst. This is also a great opportunity to intercede for your needs, the needs of your family, our parish, Bay county, our country and our world. Through perpetual adoration members of our parish storm the gates of heaven asking for a renewed encounter with the Lord and a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Click here to commit to an hour every week to come and adore the Eucharistic Lord!

“The Church cannot but encourage everything that serves in harmoniously developing the human body. It is rightly considered the masterpiece of the whole of creation, not only because of its proportion, strength, and beauty, but also and especially because God has made it His dwelling place and the instrument of an immortal soul, breathing into it that "breath of life" by which man is made in His image and likeness." – St. John Paul II

Welcome to the St. Dominic Catholic Church Kitchen Ministry!

Peace be with you! My name is Pam Elmore, and I have the great joy and responsibility of serving as the Kitchen Manager here at St. Dominic. I warmly welcome you to this sacred space of service—the heart of our parish, the kitchen.

Your decision to serve in this ministry is a beautiful witness to your faith and generosity. In Scripture, we are reminded that “whoever serves, let it be with the strength that God supplies, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ” (1 Peter 4:11). What we do here is more than preparing food—it is a ministry of hospitality, nourishment, and love. Through the sharing of meals, we build up the Body of Christ, foster fellowship, and extend the compassion of our Lord to all who enter our parish.

Each act of service in this kitchen, no matter how small, becomes a prayer and offering to God. We follow the example of Christ, who came not to be served, but to serve (cf. Matthew 20:28), and we do so with humility, joy, and a spirit of unity.

Thank you for offering your time and talents in this important ministry. Your presence here is a blessing, and I look forward to growing together in faith as we serve our parish family.

If you have any questions or need support in your role, please don’t hesitate to reach out. You can contact me at (850) 819-2440 or by email at kitchen@saintdominicpc.com.

In the love and service of Christ,
Pam Elmore
Kitchen Manager
St. Dominic Catholic Church

Bienvenido(a) al Ministerio de Cocina de la Parroquia San Domingo

Estimado(a) voluntario(a):

At St. Dominic Catholic Church, we offer the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program for preschool children aged 3-5 years. This unique faith formation program is student-led and uses a Montessori-style approach to help children discover the Word of God in a meaningful way.

Our program takes place in our parish Atrium, a specially designed space that features beautiful materials and specially trained catechists who assist students in their spiritual formation. In the Atrium, children are invited to explore the richness of our Catholic faith through hands-on activities, prayer, and reflection. They are encouraged to ask questions, express their thoughts and feelings, and develop a deep and personal relationship with God.

The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program at St. Dominic Catholic Church offers a unique and engaging way for preschool children to encounter Christ and deepen their faith. We invite families to join us on this journey of discovery and help their children develop a love for God and His Word that will last a lifetime.
